Covenant Community Garden is celebrating 10 years of providing fresh vegetables to people in need.

It all started in the Spring of 2016, with just 2 vegetable beds.

Within a year, 4 more beds were added. Shortly after that, a fence was put up, and the Scouts added another bed.

There are now 9 vegetable beds that have produced peppers, egg plants, lettuce, carrots, peas, beans, watermelons, squash, sweet potatoes, greens, and SO MANY tomatoes!

Over the last 10 years, SAMM’s Transitional Living and Learning Center residents have expressed their heartfelt appreciation for being the recipients of the fresh produce.

So many volunteers have come out over the years to work in the garden to unload soil, weed, water, built beds, provide education, assemble and install picnic tables, build compost bins, harvested, planted, and so much more.

Come join us and be a part of the future of Covenant Gardens!

Spring workdays are the last Saturday of the month from 9 am – 11 am.

We look forward to seeing you there!
